This website gives information about the most prestigious and unique facsimile atlas ever made.
The facsimile edition of (part of) the Atlas Blaeu-Van der Hem.
The original Atlas Blaeu-Van der Hem is preserved in the Österreichische Nationalbibliothek (Austrian National Library) in Vienna. We have worked in the past years to prepare an exclusive facsimile edition of the volumes of this incredibly beautiful atlas that pertain to Africa, America & Asia, including the “secret” Atlas of the Dutch east India Company (VOC).
We are proud to announce that in 2011 we have completed the publication of a superb facsimile edition of the unique Atlas Blaeu-van der Hem including nearly 500 views, maps, charts and drawings, bound in eight folio volumes (58 x 44 cm.) This website will inform you about all details concerning history, contents, production, quality and possibilities to acquire a set of this very limited edition.

Catalogue of the Atlas Blaeu-Van der Hem
Between 1996 and 2008 HES & DE GRAAF Publishers have published the Catalogue of the Atlas Blaeu-Van der Hem now in the Austrian National Library. An illustrated and annotated catalogue. These series comprise six parts with descriptions and of all sheets in the atlas with cartographical, historical and art-historical descriptions by Peter van der Krogt and Erlend de Groot and indices and index sheets to all parts, and a seventh volume by Erelend de Groot, The world of a seventeenth-century collector. The Atlas Blaeu-van der Hem. An extensive study on the Dutch Lawyer Laurens van der Hem and his famous composite atlas.
